Will this be the night I get a message?
Nanoha’s head turned at the sound of the bell, her eyes resting on none other than Fate. She was here! Her eyes lit up. “Fate-chan!” Nanoha smiled brightly, watching Fate take her seat in front of her. She looked…embarrassed? Ahh…she thought she’d kept Nanoha waiting.
“No, no! It’s fine! I’ve only been here for…eight minutes? Not long at all! Don’t worry about it.” Nanoha supposed some people would get upset waiting for someone to show up, but she could never get mad at her friends when there are perfectly good explanations as to why they could be late.
“I’ve missed you! It’s been so long.” Nanoha pushed the second menu towards her best friend, motioning for her to think about what she was going to order. “How have you been? Anything new going on? Oh! How’s Arf? Chrono?” Oops. A faint blush painted Nanoha’s cheeks, trying to laugh off her slightly intrusive habit: asking too many questions at once. But she couldn’t help it!
As she smoothed out her skirt, Nanoha took the chance to really get a good look at Fate. Her hair was longer than she remembered, but it was still the same beautiful blonde as before. Other than that, the girl across from her still looked like the same Fate that she’d known since she was nine. (Minus the whole being older part, at least!)
Fate was relieved that Nanoha hadn’t need to wait for long. She sighed and studied Nanoha’s face, trying to remember what Nanoha had looked like the last time they had met. Had Nanoha grown? It was hard to tell because she was sitting, but… Maybe.
Fate rose the corners of her mouth into a smile, and she took the menu, glancing at it but barely being able to keep the gaze away from her friend. It was wonderful to see her again just face to face. Blinking she listened to the flood of questions and then giggled. “Arf is doing well, although she has now kept in a form of a puppy, to not burden me so much even though I told her that I could cope with it.” Fate nodded. ”And Chrono is, umm… Nice as always. I have to say, he’s sometimes too strict to me.” Fate waved her hand in order to continue.
“But how about you? Please do not say you’ve over-worked again… You make me worried..” The blonde complained loudly and stared at her friend accusingly.

I’m here finally. Sick though and feverish. I’m such a “lucky” bastard to get sick on weekend… Anywhoo might be I change the background from my theme sometime soon but for now it shall stay like that.
